This journey began with quiet anticipation. The hallways of the hospital were calm, and filled with the excitement of new life arriving. There was a stillness, a pause before the storm of emotion that would soon follow.
In the OR, under the bright lights and watchful eyes of her care team, she welcomed her baby earthside. The water birth-style tub image you see? That’s part of the preparation and pain relief process used before surgery — a beautiful blend of natural support and medical care.
Cesarean births are not just medical events. They are stories of resilience, love, and grace. I am endlessly grateful to families who invite me into these spaces to witness and preserve their stories.
