Fresh 48 & newborn booking guide
Welcome to the world, little one!
Fresh 48 and newborn sessions are a beautiful way to document the earliest moments of your baby's life - the tiny fingers, wrinkly toes, soft wisps of hair, and that new baby stretch you'll never want to forget. Fresh 48 sessions take place within the first 48 hours of birth. Newborn sessions take place typically no later than 2 weeks of baby's birth. Both sessions are all about preserving those fleeting, tender details and the connection between you and your new family in those first precious days.
when to book
The best time to book with me is when you are about 36 weeks pregnant, at the latest. One thing I know for sure is baby comes when they are ready, and not a moment sooner or later. This allows for any flexibility that you may need based on your pregnancy. If you're booking a Fresh 48 session, there are finer details to discuss, and we will go through all of that during our consult.
what to wear
For Fresh 48 or Newborn sessions, comfort is just as important as style- especially after welcoming your little one! Soft, neutral-colored clothing like cozy robes, flowy tops or a simple button down not only feels good, but photographs beautifully. Light tones such as white, cream, beige or pastels help keep the focus on your baby and creates a calm, timeless look. Avoid bold patterns, bright colors, logos or writing as those can be distracting. The goal is to keep things simple, comfortable and letting the love and connection between you and your baby shine through.
THE BOOKING PROCESS
1. Schedule your consult - This is where we'll discuss the session you're looking to have and go on call until your baby is born.
2. Sign your contract, model release, and make your payment. Half (50%) of your session fee is due at the time of booking. Payment plans are available, and your balance must be paid prior to your scheduled session date.
Before, During, and After your session
Be sure to let me know when you're either in labor, or if you'll be having a cesarean. In the event you need an emergency cesarean, please have a loved one let me know. Once baby is here and everyone's ready for visitors, we'll schedule your session. One thing to note is once it gets closer to your due date, I do not travel more than one hour from where I live. This is to ensure I have enough time and availability to ensure we have your session on time.
During the session the only thing you need to do is be present with your family. I've got the rest.
Once your session is complete, you can expect your completed gallery within two (2) weeks. You'll be able to download all of the files directly from the gallery, and order any prints or products from there as well.

- One (1) hour session
- Online gallery of 20 images
- 3 - 4 minute film of your session set to licensed music
- Additional options for prints, albums, framed prints, canvas, and other products
