Hue and You is a color-driven photographic exploration of the relationship between emotion, identity, and environment. Through twelve thoughtfully curated color palettes—each tied to a month and season—the series moves through a year in visual feeling. Each image captures how color shapes memory, mood, and meaning in everyday spaces, faces, and fleeting details. This project invites the viewer to consider not only what they see, but how they feel color.

Color is more than visual—it’s emotional, symbolic, and deeply personal. In Hue and You, I use color as both subject and language. Each hue is chosen to reflect the essence of a month, echoing the internal and external rhythms we move through in a year. These photographs are not just about the color in the frame, but the feeling it evokes—the warmth of a summer yellow, the solemnity of winter purple, the renewal of spring green.
Rather than imposing a narrative, I let the hues guide me—seeking out spontaneous scenes, textures, and interactions that naturally embody each palette. The title Hue and You reflects this duality: the universal resonance of color, and the individual response it stirs. It’s a quiet collaboration between the world’s colors and the viewer’s gaze.
